Root Password Reset

Hi All,

 

Greetings!

 

DevCentral is not just a pool but it's an Ocean with lot of information. I am not sure if my below query was already answered in the past but I need your suggestion.

 

Is it recommended to reset the root password by running set-up utility, if the device administrator has lost the modified root password by any chance?

    If you have the password for an account that has admin access you can just reset it on the System>>Platform tab. If you have a user with tmsh access you can also reset it with tmsh modify auth password root.
