Rewrite URL

So Brad I have tried your method unfortunately that didn't work... Do I need to add another action to the same rule to send request to a specified pool?

Does the site live on a different pool of servers than what is default to the virtual server?

Also, what kind of web service are you using, does it use query parameters?

Hi Brad, The VS doesn't have default pool configured at all so I presume I need to configure another action to send my request to appropriate pool/node.

I have added those 2x actions to the rule and seems to be working but the page looks little bit different from the page being accessed directly on the server. Would it be possible the images are loaded from somewhere else...?

So this is what I have configured: Condition: http-host host equals a.domainname.com Action: http-uri request replace value: https://newwebservice/Custom/Uri forward request select pool/Common/a-domain-pool

updated above. How does it look different exactly? You have images on a web service page? Are you trying to display resources from newwebservice but still have the browser think its a resource on a.domainname.com?

This is actually a web site and there is some images o n log on page. It looks like all the images are missing and the text is formatted differently. Not too sure how is this being configured on the back end Web server as it's been done by the server team. Will have to talk to them on Monday. I could make a screenshot and upload it here if that helps at all.

I have tried another website with customized URI ("/Custom/Uri" rather than just "/") and it does exactly the same...Any ideas what I may be missing here?

is the new service a "Web service" like REST or SOAP service or a web site? the solution provided by Brad and I was to replace all URLs by /custom/URI... Can you explain your need with examples? Is your web site in /Custom/URI/ folder and you wand to hide this URI?
