Replace MS NLB on MS server 2008 R2 with F5

I would like to use my f5 device to do the load balancing between 2 MS 2008 R2 terminal servers. I have tried a few iApps but none seem to work. they talk about having to install Remote Desktop Session Host role on at least one server, but wouldn't that create a single point of failure if the one with that service went down. Any help would be appreciated.

  • We did not use an iApp. We configured a standard Virtual Server with the Terminal servers as part of the Pool. for the persistence we used the Microsoft remote Desktop type.

Sulaiman, What did you use for the monitor? If a TS went down would the f5 still send users to it? How would it know if the TS was down.
