Redundant C4800(B4450) +vCMP
I want to design a CGN solution based on C4800 chassis.Fully redundant and active/active ports on blades.
is this possible : we can have two chassis (c4800) with multiple blades(B4450) ,one vCMP and one cluster on each chassis and still use Inter-Cluster Mirroring?
thanks

You still can use HA across dissimilar peers, however for connection mirroring you need to have identical platform. This is due to different logic of DAG running on different platforms and different number of tmms
Do not be confused by "modes". By logic, I mean that on one platform connection goes let say to tmm1, whereas similar connection (src/dst port/ip) on the other platform may go to tmm0. Connection mirroring requires connection hitting the same tmm on both peers.
In case of non-similar peer you will get next log message: 01340004:3: HA Connection detected dissimilar peer

hello .
thanks for your answer.
can you please help me further with this soloution:
i want to use same(similar) chassis ( c8400) and same blade(b4450) on both side and one vCMP and one cluster on each chassis and still use Inter-Cluster Mirroring.
fully redundant and active/active with load-balance and fail over between blades and chassis.
is that possible?

mirroring works on similar peers only. If it is vCMP guest, then two peers must be vCMP guest running on same blades, slot, version
If one guest is running on slot 1 and the second on slot 2 - mirror will not work
If one guest is running on let say B2150 blade and the second on B2250 blade - mirror will nor work
If one peer is vCMP guest and the second is hardware appliance - mirror will not work
I hope it works for you.

I assume your answer is : yes it is posible.
because i wrote in previous comment that both chassis and blades are the same with guests are running on same slots .
thanks

before using connection mirror, you have to consider connection table`s last-hop.
in A-A and using mirror can cause performance degree.
maybe nat and snat doesn`t check connection table existence.
I think CGN need to running routing protocol. ospf or bgp.

do you think that if Advanced routing module ( F5-ADD-VPR-ROUTING) purchased performance problem will be solved ?
