RDP/VNC via APM to Ubuntu desktop

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with setting up an RDP/VNC connection to Ubuntu desktops via APM, and get a similar experience compared to Windows RDP? (Windows clients connecting to APM, APM then connecting to internal Ubuntu desktop VM's)

I'm trying to move a bunch of test desktop VM's from Windows to Ubuntu, but the mediocre performance of the RDP session (compared to Windows' RDP experience) has always been a sore point in the past, making me hold on to the Windows desktops.

There are no SSO requirements or funky domain requirements, I'm mainly concerned with the real-life performance when the session is established.

Any tips or hints are greatly appreciated!
