I hope answer is A).
curl is used to transfer the data to or from the server, also you can specify the curl -v -k GET telnet://x.x.x.x:port to check the services but the simplest way in mentioned option is nc.
using nc /telnet you can check the services directly
Question-9 : Several users reports that an HTTP service delivered by a BIG-IP and located on 50.206.82.160 is not working properly.
Which command should be used to verify that the service is working properly.
a) nc 50.206.82.160
b) ping 50.206.82.160
c) curl 50.206.82.160
d) nmap 50.206.82.160
i agree lees intuitive but tested with curl and works just fine: curl IP, i guess curl defaults to port 80 if unmentionned.
the short output is html response code.
