Nov 06, 2011Pool members disconnected after adding new float IP
I'm configuring a new a new interface for a LTM Big IP 3900, when i configured a new float IP address, this caused two nodes from the other pool of this LTM disconnected. Is this a known bug of the LTM ? Thanks.

this caused two nodes from the other pool of this LTM disconnected.what does this mean? does health monitor fail? is client unable to connect to pool through virtual server?
by the way, does bigip have floating selfip on every VLAN? - Phu_Nguyen_7215

yes, the two nodes on different VLAN failed health check. The existing VLANs don't have floating IP configured. Thanks. - nitass

yes, the two nodes on different VLAN failed health check. The existing VLANs don't have floating IP configured. health monitor should use non-floating selfip as source address, so it should not be affected when adding a new floating selfip.
