can you try to use non-floating selfip as virtual server address?
sol8849: Configuring a virtual server to use the same IP address as a self IP

I am leaning more towards creating a new vlan for our management interfaces and setting up a route that points to the same subnet using the gateway as the floating ip. That way, when one uses the floating ip in their browser, they will always get the active node (active/passive setup). - supercell_88939

Simple fix: I simply created a self ip and made it a floating ip. Setup an ns record for it...always get active :)
