Partition /shared is 100%
Hello, I have an F5 BIGIP LTM 8800 and I just realized that the shared partition is 100%, specifically / shared / core, as the image shows
have reviewed the files that occupy me most space and are the following
As far as I understand the iso I can not delete them, the question is the other files (pvac.xxxx.0core. *. Gz) for what they are and if I can delete them to free up space?
First of all, Thanks

Look like pvac process core files but not sure why they are under the shared directory.
I would say you can delete them but the bigger question would be what is triggering the pvac process to do a core dump that is filling up you shared partition.
Finally you can delete the ISO images just likely will need to put them back on to do an upgrade.

Yep. Are you using web accelerator for your applications?

can you run
and see when those core dumps were created?ls -lah /shared/core
Also, you can remove the ISO files if it's the current or previous version of the OS or a newer version that you don't plan to upgrade to anytime soon (just put it back when you want to do the upgrade).
If the core files are old, and aren't being generated regularly then just delete them. However if they are, i suggest generating a qkview, getting an md5sum of the core files
and then uploading the lot to F5 support.md5sum filename > filname.md5
Once you have an MD5 hash of the core files you can copy them off and delete them from the F5.
Cheers,

Some were created last month, the strange thing that most have 0 bytes, and others are 10mb and because of this this partition is saturated.
As an additional comment, the Web accelerator was activated but it was already disabled more than a year ago
Thanks
