not able to enable interface

Hello,

Yesterday I moved a complete configuration from 1 Bipg IP box to a new one (created a .ucs file on the old one and loaded it on the new one with command load /sys ucs rma. Seems that worked fine. However, there are 2 10 G interfaces I can not enable. Via the GUI I go to interface and click on the interface number and put the State property to "enabled" and update this. When going to the interface list again, it is still listed ad disabled ?? What could be the reason ? At the moment I only have access via cli to the box, I hope that should be fine to resolve this. The box is running BIG-IP Version 10.2.1 Build 511.0 Edition Hotfix HF3.

Thanks, Frederik.

  • Hi. Maybe mismatch of duplex and speed settings between F5 and the switch is causing this issue. Try this command to see media information :

    bigpipe interface 1.1 media show

If speed and duplex is this isssue then this would help to troubleshoot. http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/7000/600/sol7612.html

  • Looks like I needed to restart all services, found here:

After the restart, interfaces were enabled.

    Thanks, Frederik
