Nov 24, 2009node will not take traffic when added back into pool
I have a pool of 3 nodes and I had to take it down. Well I took my last node out and placeed it back in the pool and then re-enabled the pool. Now my third node will not take traffic?

Is the node address enabled and marked up? How about the pool member? You can check using 'b node 1.1.1.1 show' and 'b pool POOL_NAME show'. - skravens_86061

node states unknown (available) and the pool member is enabled....and up. State is enabled allow all traffic. - skravens_86061

Can you post the output from 'b virtual VIP_NAME list' and 'b pool POOL_NAME list' where you replace the NAME portion with the actual object names. Make sure to anonymize the info if it's sensitive. - skravens_86061

I am using the GUI not cli. and the persistence mode is source address affinity. - hoolio

You can also run bigpipe commands from the bigpipe shell in the GUI under System | Console. - skravens_86061

persistance type is source address affinity and only the 2 ip nodes show up in the statistics under persistance. - skravens_86061

If there are only two client IPs making requests to the VIP, then the source address persistence would ensure they get persisted to the two pool members. Can you test by making a request to the VIP from a third IP address and see if it gets load balanced to the third pool member? - skravens_86061

i stated that incorrectly; there are more than two clients requesting. There are only 2 servers responding.
