Node Status Icons - 201 Exam
Hi all,
Wonder if someone could shed some light reference the node status icons?
The study guide details status icons for pool members and i'm struggling to understand how the same icon can have two different explanations. For example:
Black Diamond = The pool member is set to Disabled and is offline because a user disabled it. - Persistent or active connections allowed.
Black Diamond = The pool member is set to Disabled and is offline because either the parent node is down, or a monitor has marked the pool member as down. - Active connections allowed
How are we meant to differentiate between the two just by looking at the status icons?
Thanks.

Hi Tofana,
I higly doubt that the provided information is correct, since it doesn't make any sense... ;-)
It should be a Black diamond (the member on the pool level is down) and a Gray diamond (the node on the node level is down).
You can observe the black/gray icon behavior by chaninging the pool member and/or parrent node status.

Thanks Kai. It's definitely two black diamonds in the study guide, and the F5 support doc seems to show the same:
I'll lock the grey icon away though, thanks!
Hi Tofana,
you can view the different Diamonds / Circles objects by accessing those URIs...
