Need help with "Re-Starting MCPD"
Hi everyone, I have a VE F5 edition running 11.4.1.. I just upgraded it to 11.6.0 HF8 and I am getting a lot of these lines: F5lb01 emerg logger: Re-starting mcpd F5lb01 emerg logger: Re-starting mcpd F5lb01 emerg logger: Re-starting mcpd
I have tried the following tmsh commands found on the following URLs:
https://devcentral.f5.com/questions/-logger-re-starting-mcpd
bigstart restart mcpd
https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K13030
touch /service/mcpd/forceload
reboot
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to restart the mcpd so I can get my F5 back up. I can connect utilizing the VE console and I can SSH into it with PuTTY, but the GUI is still counting down the reboot time.
Thank you for any help or direction...
Greg

uuum not sure why the commands are ginormous... lol
you probably added some *** or such around them
i would try an actual restart, if that doesn't clear up things you will need to share logs or perhaps better open a support ticket.
