move config to another Big IP LTM

Hi all,   I would like to know what the best approach is to move the complete config from one Big Ip box to another. Is it ok just to create a .ucs file on one box and import it to the other ?   ...

Thanks for your answer. The 2 boxes have the same hardware:

 

Platform Name BIG-IP 8950 BIOS Revision OBJ-0339-00 - Build: 90100

 

I see however that the source box has 2 extra 10 GB interfaces and the destination box has not. The 2 interfaces are in diabled status, so seems to be ok.

 

The hostname of the source box is not the same as the destination box. I could change that just before I do the move. Would that make the move easier ? What about licenses ? I assume they still will work on the destination box.

    If you want an exact copy of the config I'd rename the other BIG-IP (which is going to get a UCS file restored onto it) to be the same as the original. That way a ucs restore will include everything. You could always rename the host afterwards.
