Jul 09, 2012Monitoring applications on F5
I would require your help ,I have one scenario in which URLs are assigned with http/https monitors and as the IIS services goes down on the servers the monitors mark all the pools down.
As this is a single server hosting multiple application how i can customize the monitors so that if a particular application goes down then only it should mark down the members.

have you tried to create a number of pool, i.e. one per virtual host, and configure with its own health monitor? the health monitor can be configured with host header in send string.

Hi Nitass thanks for the quick response.....
Now updates all my virtuals have different pools assigned to them and from the my prospect if i have individual pools and individual monitors assigned to that pool it should only see the response for the particular application.
It can not harm other services ,so can you please help me to know one this is IIS down is global to a server or its unique for individual application instance. - vaibhav
