Migration from 3400 to 4000 Series platform. v9.x/10.x to 11.x
I have been trying to investigate how to go about migrating 3400 platforms to new 4000 series platforms. The query I have is that the 3400 platform appears to only support up to Big-IP 10.x and the 4000 platform only support from 11.x and doesn't appear to be backward compatible. I need to migrate the configurations from the 3400's to the new 4000's. I need to prepare for what work would be involved in this.
Is it possible to take a .ucs backup from the 3400's on either version 9.x or 10.x and just import it onto the 4000 platform on 11.x?
Are there any gotchas I need to be aware of? Is there any documentation covering this scenario? I have searched AskF5 and can't find anything related to this particular scenario.
Any advice or guidance would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

you may use "no-license" and "no-platform-check" option when importing. if configuration is not shown in 11.x, you may try "/usr/libexec/bigpipe daol" command and fix whatever error it shows up one by one. - kridsana

In manual I think you should upgrade from 9.x into 10.x using 3400 platform. and then restore 10.x ucs into 11.x in 4000 platform
but you can do like nitass said (I ever this too 9.x>10.x>11.2.1 https://devcentral.f5.com/community/group/aft/2164611/asg/52 platform 1500>1600 a bit differrent from you)
