Migration F5-DNS-VM from a Virtual Machine to other Virtual Machine
Hi Dears,
Currently, i have a F5-DNS Virtual Machine in production environment.
I need to setup a new virtual machine to replace the other one.
I have the following doubt:
- When i import the ucs file to the new Virtual Machine... What will happen with the license? because the license is installed on the old virtual machine and i don't know if this situation generate a conflict.
¿Is it necessarry that i contact to F5 support to move the license from a VM to other?
That's a good point. Yes, you should use that option. Steps for importing a UCS are located here: https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K13132

It will be necessary to contact F5 support to have the licensed move. You can setup the VE and import the UCS, but the VE will not process traffic until the license is moved.

Hi G-ROB
I should import the ucs file with the option no-license?
