Make standby unit active
Hi, I have F5 LTMs (2000s) in my production environment. Due to some reason i want to make the standby unit active. Kindly guide me what are the proper ways to do that. Is there any impact on the production traffic.
Kindly response. thanks.
Switching the active device will drop any active APM sessions and some non APM connections that are sensitive to packet loss (Citrix depending on your configuration).
I would start by opening each device in your browser. On your active device go to Device Management >> Devices and select the active device. Then, select Force to Standby. It will take a second or two and the status in the upper left corner should show Standby. Your other device should now show Active.
