LTM Upgrade Process

I am planning an upgrade from 11.1 to 11.3. The documentation I've been able to find looks specific to upgrading 10.x to 11.x (http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/bigi...

The HA heartbeat is the same. I would turn off connection mirroring.

Upgrading firmware will also mean to upgrade the build-in FPGAs and the AOM.

That´s why there is no 100% roll back in my opinion.

But of course you can reboot into the previous volume at any time.

In case you face an unwanted active / active you can force a device in offline state (WebUI device settings) or via tmsh: 

tmsh run sys failover offline

To recover: 

tmsh run sys failover online

I´m wondering why to get onto 11.3 instead of moving on to v11.4HF3? Personally today I still prefer 11.2.1 w/ latest hotfix if there is no need for one of the new modules i.e. AFM.
