LTM deployment without default route configuration

Hi All,

 

We had just implemented an LTM load balancing web servers.Server gateway is router and VS is configured with snat automap.We have not configured default route on F5 but web server were able to reply back from queries. I'm wondering how it works.Can somebody explain it?
