LTM Default HTTP Retry Value

I understand that, but the server isn't sending back a status code. If we turn off apache, nothing is being sent. The F5 should just be receiving a connection refused error, not accompanied by an HTTP error code, because nothing will be listening on port 80.

I ask this because we're trying to figure out how to handle out rolling code to our servers. We do a rolling restart, which means that each server is down for 2-4 seconds, not long enough to be marked as down by a health check, but all requests in that 2-4 seconds are being blackholed. I'd like the F5 to resend those requests to other working pool members when it sees that the connection from him to the pool member is not working.
