LTM : FQDN based node addition with Route Domain

Hello guys,

We all know that we can even add fqdn based nodes under F5. So F5 will query dns request to the server configured under it. Now when i do this configuration, it works fine. But somehow as per my observations, when i add fqdn based node, it takes only default route domain. When i put specific route domain alongwith fqdn, it is not working. I am not sure if it is a but or something else?

Anyone here who faced same issue? Kindly give your inputs.

I opened a case with support last week for the exact same reason.
This is the feedback I got from support:
"I'm sorry it took me a while to get back to you but I wanted to confirm that my initial findings were correct.
Unfortunately, Route domains are not supported with fqdn.
We have logged in a Request For Enhancement, this, however, has no release date as of yet.

522465 RFE: Route domain support for FQDN nodes

The most I can offer you is to request that this service request be added to that RFE. This will let our product development team that another customer is requesting this.

Please let me know if you are interested in this."

I posted a question here about doing the same via iRules for the same reason, but haven't received a solution yet.

I thing there was en enhancement request for that subject, but I do not beleive this made it yet in BigIP. Maybe an F5 person could confirm ?
