Low rate bandwidth

Hi ALL,

we have a Vs published on port 80 the pool is monitoring with port 7010 VS port 80 >> Pool >> with redirection port 7010 we have bandwidth problem when we try to download file from server when the download is started directly from node the bandwidth is correct when the download is started from the vs the bandwidth is limited. is it configuration specifique on VS ? how i can do the necessary test to confirm that the VS work fine and no limitation is applied for the download.

  • Can you specify what the speed difference is? If you're using the Virtual Edition of F5, do you see any errors such as "75% of bandwidth limit exceeded of the licensed ...." in /var/log/ltm file as you're downloading the file? There are no by-default-enabled bandwidth limitations in Virtual Server configurations. Virtual Editions of F5 can be licensed from as low bandwidth as 1Mbits to as high as 10Gbps. Most typical are 200Mbits and 1Gbps licenses. The publicly available Trial Edition of F5 has a bandwidth limit of 10Mbits.

Do you mind sharing your Virtual Server configuration? You can use the extracts from the TMSH command: "tmsh list ltm virtual MyVirtualName". If you have any custom (non-default) TCP or HTTP profiles, please provide them as well.
