Load Balance DNS servers

Hi,

 

Any tips on how to properly load balance DNS servers? I tried:

 

VIP: 1.1.1.1:53

POOL: 2.2.2.1:53, 2.2.2.2:53, 2.2.2.3:53

 

It is up but it seems not working when they tested it when they use the VIP as the DNS.

    Hi Koalan

     

    What load balancing method did you use in you pool configuration ?

    By "not working" do you mean load balancing is not working or the DNS resolution all together ?

      I used least connection. It works now, i made it as FastL4 Virtual Server

    If your VIP will take large scale of query, ​I recommend modifying configuration.

     

    modify virtual-server type performanceL4 -> standard.

     

    config udp profile with datagram enabled and adjust to vip.

     

    LB method to RR.
