Feb 28, 2010Linux 64bit Firepass Client
I know that there have been multiple cases opened with F5 (for a couple years, I might add) about this request. There has been speculation that F5 may release a version "sometime this year."
Using npwrapper, with any reasonably sized userbase, is not a real supportable solution. Is it just me, or doesn't this send a message that F5 isn't serious about this "enterprise" segment?
Are there some technical issues that are holding a real release up?
At the very least, would F5 entertain a similar program that Adobe Labs does with Flash and release an alpha version for the 64bit linux people?

We are going to be releasing a client for Linux-64bit in the very near future. Please stay tune.

The following code is STILL stuck, can F5 help? !
=================
pid_t 64bitlinuxclient, ishallbereleased;
int forum_wait_status;
64bitlinuxclient = fork();
if ( 64bitlinuxclient == 0 ) {
release64bitlinuxclient();
}
else {
ishallbereleased = waitpid(64bitlinuxclient, &forum_wait_status, WUNTRACED | WCONTINUED)
}
printf ("F5 rocks, thanks for releasing the 64bit client.\n"); - jagger_105790Historic F5 AccountIf you like to try out the 64bit Linux client, join the beta of FirePass 7.0 available now, lots of good gems there beside the Linux client. Contact F5's Engineering services to signed up.
