NimbostratusLimiting selected fileupload based on extension using ASM
Hi Guys,
I just need some quick help from experts, I have ASM working for the web app's. The web app should allow's selected type of file upload, I need to control this from ASM. Do I have to define this under "Allowed file types" or some where else. I have gone through some documents and it looks like "Allowed file types" have much to do with the requested web page rather than file upload. Kindly help me out in this to allow or disallow file types based on extension.

Hi,
the only integrated way we have so far is to define the upload parameter and select Disallow File Upload of Executables.
You could also use regex to filter file upload name if it's passed as a parameter like explained in this thread :

If you need something more granular you will have to implement an irule.

Thanks for the reply so as per your link all we can do is play in the regex area and try to find our way by playing around.... there is no proper area where allowed upload file extensions are allowed or disallowed??
