license query on F5 LTM device 2400

Could you please describe us on below queries.

 

We observed that F5 load balancer license date & version are showing in-different. Recently 2 months back, we upgraded IOS firmware upgrade from 11.4.1(HF.4) to latest 12.1.1(HF.2).

 

Below mentioned screenshot, “show sys license” command version of the BIP-F5 box it shows 11.4.1 @ licensed version field.

 

“show sys version” command it shows correct version as we upgrade from 11.4.1(HF.4) to latest 12.1.1(HF.2).

 

Already we gone through below F5 release notes on raised concerns, still unable to understand properly.

 

Please explore us and briefly on this matter.

    Recently 2 months back, we upgraded IOS firmware upgrade from 11.4.1(HF.4) to latest 12.1.1(HF.2).

     

    You should have upgraded to 12.1.2 (release date 12/14/2016), not 12.1.1

     

    12.1.2 is like a service pack on top of 12.1.0. with 12.1.2, F5 stopped software development of 12.1.1. for example, F5 released a hotfix to solve SSL vulnerability only for 12.1.2, not 12.1.1

     

    Below mentioned screenshot, “show sys license” command version of the BIP-F5 box it shows 11.4.1 @ licensed version field.

     

    version in license will stay 11.4.1 forever. the box was first license on this version.
