license query on F5 LTM device 2400

Recently 2 months back, we upgraded IOS firmware upgrade from 11.4.1(HF.4) to latest 12.1.1(HF.2).

 

You should have upgraded to 12.1.2 (release date 12/14/2016), not 12.1.1

 

12.1.2 is like a service pack on top of 12.1.0. with 12.1.2, F5 stopped software development of 12.1.1. for example, F5 released a hotfix to solve SSL vulnerability only for 12.1.2, not 12.1.1

 

Below mentioned screenshot, “show sys license” command version of the BIP-F5 box it shows 11.4.1 @ licensed version field.

 

version in license will stay 11.4.1 forever. the box was first license on this version.
