Nov 15, 2007Leopard Compatibility?
I haven't had any luck with all the things I've tried...namely this and 6.02 together:
sudo ln -s /var/run/DirectoryService.pid /var/run/lookupd.pid
Thanks,
Will

Hi~
Currently leopard is not supported but we are working on a 6.02 hotfix to make it compatible. You can contact support and reference CR88338-1 to be added for the fix. By indicating you need the fix, they will contact you when it is made available. I'll also check back here and post when it has been released.

Thanks, I was aware of this but was also interested to see if anybody in the community had developed a temporary fix or workaround yet...

My IT Manager called F5 support just before Christmas and was told that Leopard was still not compatible. Is this the case or is there a way I can get this hotfix?
Thanks! - Fuzz_31058

You can obtain the hotfix from downloads.f5.com it is listed under Firepass. There is no need for a ticket. The hotfix is hotfix-86158-88338.

I did this and it is still not working. I think it drops the connection to the server when I try to connect using Firepass. Any thoughts? - will_98162

I work in an IT department for an educational institution that uses 3 firepass boxes (2 in production, 1 for development). We have been struggling to make 6.02 with the Leopard hotfix functional. After much back-and-forth with support folks, it became clear that the issue was ICMP traffic.
Apparently, with 6.02, if the machine cannot ping its default gateway (whether or not that happens to be logically close to the firepass) it will drop the connection after only a few seconds. This seems to have made everything work again for us...

Have you completed this hotfix yet? I get the message "The connection failed because the server (office IP address) could not be found on the network." - Willem_99090

I have a Firepass 1200 with 6.0.2 and the Network Access Hotfix (86158-88338) for OSX Leopard and it still doesn't work.
I switched on debugging (as per the instructions on AskF5) and the line with an error reads:

I have also tried the symbolic link trick, but it just won't start.
Is there anything else I can do? I have been struggling with this for ages now...
Client: Intel MacBook Pro Leopard 10.5.5
Thanks
