LCDd

What is the LCDd process - what does it do? when I run an ss -np command to look at the process and port connections on my F5 I get several that are labeled LCDd. ESTAB 0 0 127.0.0.1:13666 127.0.0.1:56061 users:(("LCDd",5518,9))

Researching other processes (mcpd, fpdd, lacpd) I was able to find the answers in the TMOS management guide core services appendix:

http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/tmos_management_guide_10_0_0/tmos_appendix_c_system_services.html1195343

but I cannot find LCDd. Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Steve

  • You'll laugh, I'm pretty sure it controls the LCD panel, assuming you have a physical device right?
