Aug 18, 2006LB::status question
If I use [LB::status up] to check the status of a node/pool member, is the returned true/false a function of the monitor results? For example, if I have used LB::down on a server during an LB_FAILED event, and the servers come back after a reboot and monitors are again UP, what will LB::status return since I forced the node down? If it returns false, how do you check for when to use the LB::up command to return servers to service?

I was able to test this, and it appears after initiating an LB::down, the LB::status will show down as well. It would be great if there was an option on LB::status to check both the monitor status as well as the administrative status. - bl0ndie_127134Historic F5 AccountWe have added the ability for the monitors to mark the nodes back up in 9.4 release. I believe it will do what you are looking for.

Do you have the command syntax? I have 9.4 beta two in the lab currently that I could test this against. Thanks. - bl0ndie_127134Historic F5 AccountThere has been no change from rules perspective; so you still mark the nodes down the same way as you were doing. Its just that the monitors are now smarter and will mark them back up again once they are back online.
