Last Hop Pool and fallback
Hi,
My understanding is that LHP is overriding entries in routing table, so no matter if there is route for given IP of returning packet it won't be used (same as for Auto Last Hop). I was not able to find info what will happen when all members of LHP are down and there is route matching destination IP of returning packet. Will this route be used or still ignored?
I wonder as well if there is any fallback procedure for ALH when device sending incoming packet is down but there is another device that taken over (lets say active/passive cluster without virtual MAC). For example cluster is sending gARP after failover, LTM is checking if there is entry for given IP/MAC in ALH table and updating this entry with new MAC? Probably to resource intensive and in fact performed by LHP but I am still curious.

I would guess the connection will be reset and the RST contains the reset cause. To be tracked via tcpdump: tcpdump -nnni 0.0:nnn -s 0 -e host Never tested this by now. - dragonflymr

Well, good old testing way ;-) Probably most credible but takes time :-( would be nice to have such info in docs. Piotr
