Issues with Web server when put in http pool

I am running Tomcat on a Windows 2008 Server. When I put this server into my server pool on my BIGIP the connection slows to a crawl. This happens locally on the server as well as from outside of the BIGIP connecting through a virtual server from my XP workstation. When I remove this server from the pool.. all is well. Not sure if is a BIGIP issue, Server 2008 or a TOMCAT issue. It works fine from my Server 2003 server that is in the same pool. Any help would be greatly appreicated
