iRule to mask part of URL to rewrite webtop links
Hello, can someone help me on the following that I want to achieve:
We have external URL of which I want part of the URL changed to an internal published URL, while the client still sees the external URL in their browser. Both URL's are configured as seperate virtual servers on seperate partitions. Example:
External URL https://www.example.com/vdesk/webtop.eui?webtop=/webtop-domain&/webtop_type=webtop_full
Internal URL .DOMAIN.com/vdesk/webtop.eui?webtop=/webtop-domain&/webtop_type=webtop_full
The internal application server only can listen to one URL (currently and is needed to be able to launch webtop links with this URL. So once a client connects to the external URL, the F5 should add the DOMAIN value to the internal URL and transparently rewrite this URL by adding the DOMAIN value while the URL in their browser stays the same.
Help would be appreciated!

I guess the best solution for you is the rewrite profile for portal access.
The external users will see something like:
$$/
Where portal.lab.local is my lab virtual server, but in your case will be the external DNS name. You can then point to whatever name you want internally.

APM will make sure it rewrites any links in the pages.
