Installing hotfix to volume not progressing/stuck at "installing hotfix"

I am installing a hotfix to volume HD1.2 and after I applied the hotfix it get stucked at "installing hotfix"   I tried to wait for it for 24 hours but it hasn't progressed. I tried to delete the ...

    I rebooted the blade and after that upon checking the system status, the hotfix wasn't applied. I retried the process and fortunately it worked.

Have you tried running the following command?

delete sys software volume HD1.2

As for the failed installation, do you have the base image 12.0.0 on the platform?

What does the /var/log/liveinstall say? I usually run a 

tail -f /var/log/liveinstall.log
when running a new installation.

I have also seen problems with hotfixes and that you had to install the base image on one partition and when installing the hotfix, select the newly installed partition.
