I have to upgrade exchange VIPs configured using iAPP template for exchange 2010, to exchange 2013 iAPP template.
-
I need to know the best way as the VIPs and certificates all will remain same only the pool memebers IP will change.
-
I would like to know I will take a backup .UCS file, so in case if there is any faiures can i restore the iAPP template configured VIPs or not after deleting them while using new template for 2013 or do i have to recreate those VIPs manually.
Kindly suggest
My OS version is 11.2.1 and I am successfully using exchange iApp template for Exchange2013_2010 f5.microsoft_exchange_2010_2013_cas.v1.4.0 for ActiveSync and OWA 2013.

Hi, are you saying that you are already running f5.microsoft_exchange_2010_2013_cas.v1.4.0 for Exchange 2010, and just want to reconfigure it for 2013? In that case all you should need to do is select 2013 to the Exchange version question and all the other values (except persistence, which isn't required) should stay the same. Or you could deploy the template again side by side with the old one using different VIP address(es) and then change DNS to point to the new IP when you're ready.

Hi Mike,
Thanks a lot for your time and reply.
I am using exchange template for 2010 named f5.microsoft_exchange_2010
I will now use exchange iApp template for Exchange2013_2010 f5.microsoft_exchange_2010_2013_cas.v1.4.0

In that case, it'd probably be best to do the side by side upgrade I mentioned above. Also, there is a new version of the template, 1.5.0, available on downloads.f5.com.
