Hello,

 

curl typically (depending on how it was built) supports several authentication methods.

Basic, digest, NTLM, ...

Does the application server support the method you are using?

Maybe a tcpdump would show you why you retrieve the logon page instead of being authenticated, also the application server logs might give a clue.
