http_response event & cookie persistence (insert mode)

hi,

just a simple question.

i just noticed today that i can see/manipulate bigip cookie persistence (insert mode) in http_response event.

previously, i understood the http_response event is triggered when pool member sends data to bigip which should happen before the bigip cookie is generated.

is that wrong? can anyone advise me please?

many thanks!

    Hi Nitass,

HTTP_RESPONSE is triggered after the HTTP response headers from the pool member have been parsed. The persistence cookie has already been set by the time HTTP_RESPONSE is set. So you should be able to view and modify the persistence cookie. I don't remember it ever being different.
