How to use the Setup utility for the first time ?

Hi, I'v downloaded the BIG-IP LTM Virtual Edition, and launched it from a VMWarePlayer on a Windows7.

 

 

BIG-IP 10.1.0 Build 3341.1084 Kernel 2.6.18-164.2.1.el5.1.0.f5app on an i686

 

 

localhost login: root

 

Password: default

 

[root@localhost:NO LICENSE] config ifconfig ・・・

 

eth0:MnMt ・・・

 

inet addr:192.168.2.196 ・・・

 

 

I accessed following address form web browser.

 

 

https://192.168.2.196

 

 

Login prompt has appeared but authentication has faild.

 

 

Username: root

 

Password: default

 

→Login failed

 

 

Username: admin

 

Password: default

 

→Login failed

 

 

What is the first operation of first connection. Or what shall I do next. License instllation?

 

How can I install the Licence that I'v got from a email?

    Hello okumura,

     

     

    The default GUI account is admin (root won't work) and the password is admin--not default.

    Hi Okumura,

     

     

    Login at the console using username root and password default.

     

    Then run the config utility to set the management interface IP, netmask and default route.

     

     

    After you have done this you will be able to connect to the BIGIP over HTTPS using your web browser to activate your trial license and continue device configuration with the GUI.
