How to import Big IP LTM 11.3 configuration
Hi There, I am trying take a configuration (ucs) from our one F5 Big IP LTM and import into another brand new appliance. I kept getting error.
Does anyone know of if it's possible to transfer configuration from one device to another running same software version ?
Thanks in advance

yes, it is. you can use "no-license" and "no-platform-check" when restoring. if there is any error, running "tmsh load sys config" will show what wrong is.
root@(VIP4800-R78-S28)(cfg-sync Standalone)(/S2-green-P:Active)(/Common)(tmos) load sys ucs test.ucs ? Options: no-license This option mostly is for RMA use. It loads full configuration from a UCS file except license file. no-platform-check Bypass platform check. passphrase Passphrase for (un)encrypting UCS.- ctlieu_136021

Thank you for the tips I tried the command this morning on our new F5 appliance and it worked. The only problem is - now I can't log in. So my question is this: Does the the command "load sys ucs test.ucs no-platform-check" over written the old user/passwd files ?

load sys, would overwrite your existing (old) user and password files.
