How to enable htttps://www for any application

Hi,

 

I have created setup on F5 for one of the external application on port 80 and 443. My requirement is that portal user can access following way.

 

https://www.example.com

https://example.com

 

To achieve this I have uploaded SAN cert on VIP and also i make it DNS entry for it. Now I can access only https://example.com but if i tried to access "https://www.example.com" it is not working.

 

Please help me on this request.

    do both example.com and www.example.com have the same DNS entry?

     

    does the SAN cert contain both domains?

     

    how is the www.example.com not working?
