How to create VLAN's without Web config utility
Dear all, we moved our VE 11.5.3 from one datastore to another one under vSphere 5.1.
During the boot process we see the following message: License is not operational
(expired or digital signature does not match contents).
/usr/bin/tmsh -n -g load sys config partitions all" - failed. Re-starting mcpd
First we checked the bigip-license file to be sure that the 'Service check date' is newer
than the 'Licensed date'. It is. we found out that something with the network configuration
went wrong during 'Move' process: All our VLAN's were deleted.
Since we can't use the Web GUI how can we create our missing VLANs?
Many thanks for any hint! Rainer

Additional question: 'tmsh show sys license' is saying: Can't load license, may not be operational Since i can't use the GUI is there any way to re-activate the license using CLI? Rainer - Kevin_Stewart

It's definitely possible to re-activate a license from the command line:
-
From the command line issue the following with your registration key:
get_dossier –b “base reg key” > dossier.do -
Upload or copy the contents of dossier.do to https:/activate.f5.com
-
Copy or download the license file
-
Back in the shell, VI edit the bigip.license and paste the license in (or winscp the license to the bigip)
-
Then reboot or issue the reloadlic command
If re-activation of the license at the activation site fails, you'll need to open a support case.

There's a very good possibility that the move didn't keep the same Mac address or other hardware parameters. In this case you definitely need to open a support case to get it fixed.
