It's definitely possible to re-activate a license from the command line:

  1. From the command line issue the following with your registration key: 

    get_dossier –b “base reg key” > dossier.do

  2. Upload or copy the contents of dossier.do to https:/activate.f5.com

  3. Copy or download the license file

  4. Back in the shell, VI edit the bigip.license and paste the license in (or winscp the license to the bigip)

  5. Then reboot or issue the reloadlic command

If re-activation of the license at the activation site fails, you'll need to open a support case.
