How HAProxy works with Openstack Heat?
Hi,
I am new to Openstack community. I need to implement autoscaling for my tomcat application. How to implement HAproxy as the default load balancer? Will it be created automatically once I launch my tomcat application instance from a heat template.? or should I manually create an HAProxy instance and later mention its details in my tomcat app heat template to use the HAProxy instance?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best Regards, Muhammed Roshan

Hi there, not sure this is the right forum site for that request. I think you have more generic Openstack questions as opposed to this site which would focus on F5 product integration with Openstack.

F5 openstack plugin does not support HAProxy but uses the neutron plugin for LBaaS now to answer your question please use the following template for auto scaling using HAProxy https://github.com/openstack/heat-templates/blob/master/cfn/F17/AutoScalingCeilometer.yaml
