How Can I Monitor Link on Remote DC That has only LTM

I have 2 data centers, DC1 has one HA pair of GTM, DC2 has only standalone LTM.

 

So I want to monitor a WAN link on DC2 site which there is no GTM module installed there.

 

After I added BIG-IP system on DC2 as a server in GTM, then it could discover all VS objects on DC2 (no link).

 

Can I use GTM in DC1 to monitor the link at another site? how?. Is it practical to do like this?.
