you an try this irule :

when HTTP_REQUEST {
    if {[string tolower [HTTP::uri]] starts_with "/products/new/"} {
        set newuri [string map "/products/new/  /custom/new-items/" [HTTP::uri]]
        HTTP::respond 301 Location "http://www.domain1.com$newuri"
