header injection for win 8.1 on sharepoint

I do not have all the details I would like yet, but I have an app team that needs their sharepoint 2013 site to work with windows 8.1. One of their customers networking team did an irule that injects something into the header that makes win 8.1 look like win 7 to sharepoint.

 

I am wondering if anyone has any idea how this is done. I am trying to get a copy of the other company's irule, but I was hoping to find this somewhere.
