GTM/LTM trust question

I see many statements in regards to not using the management IPs of the LTMs for setting up the trusts between GTM/LTM and I am curious as to why. Can I please get a solid reason why I wouldnt want to use the management IPs of the LTMs in addition to Self IPs as a backup?

    I haven't seen a best practice that says you can't or it isn't recommended. However, I would make sure your management IP is static as well as put in another network for failover. I typically set the heartbeat/failover network as the primary failover and then the management.
