GTM monitoring objects (without LTM)

Hi,

 

I am trying to monitor some IP addresses that are not behind a LTM... In GTM, I created the Server as a generic host, added the Virtual Server (that is not behind a LTM) in this server... set all health monitors... GTM does not see this virtual server as up... if I telnet from F5 to the destination in the port where F5 is monitoring it establish fine... but monitor does not see the IP as up... I did a tcpdump capturing from all interfaces and I don't see F5 trying to hit the destination...

    What health monitor(s) are you using and can you provide the configuration for them, please?

    Are there other bigip servers in the same datacenter as the gtm and generic host? If so then gtm is delegating the monitoring task to those other bigips instead of running the monitor itself so it would be expected that you did not see any monitor traffic from gtm. Can you capture on the generic host to see if monitor traffic is arriving, and if so from what source IP?
