GTM iRule to override topology
Can anyone here please provide me with an example of a GTM iRule that I can apply to a wideiP entry that will override the current topology rule and provide an answer to DNS request for that wideIP if it comes from a certain subnet. I know that one way to do this is to modify the topology rule but since it used by all others we don't want to modify it and use the irule just for this wideip entry. Thanks for your help!

If you wish to send the A record "172.16.5.1" when a request arrives from a client in the netblock "10.10.10.0/24":
when DNS_REQUEST { if { [IP::addr [IP::client_addr] equals "10.10.10.0/24"] } { host 172.16.5.1 } }Oddly, the
(andhost
) commands don't appear to be documented on DevCentral.cname - Anthony_Pineda

Thanks Vernon. I found the link for the GTM commands here. https://devcentral.f5.com/wiki/iRules.GTM.ashx?lc=1
